Lona Latema, a sophomore at Kansas representing Kenya, won the women's seeded 3,000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best 10:14.78 at the 112th Drake Relays Presented by Xtream and Powered by Mediacom and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Latema improved from her previous-best 10:26.04 performance March 24 at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
